Apexus serves as the Prime Vendor under a contract with HRSA.
The 340B Prime Vendor Program (PVP), is a contract awarded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), which is responsible for administering the 340B Drug Pricing Program. The Prime Vendor negotiates pricing discounts with participating manufacturers, provides education and resources such as 340B University, and offers technical assistance through Apexus Answers.
The PVP is a voluntary program for covered entities and manufacturers alike. There is no fee for eligible covered entities to enroll and participate in the program.

The 340B PVP Manufacturer Refund Service promotes effective and efficient collaboration between manufacturers, distributors, and covered entities to resolve manufacturer overcharges. Since inception, this service has returned more than $212 million in refunds to covered entities.
Distribution options drive value in the marketplace by offering choices. Through the PVP as the central source overseeing distribution, Apexus supports 340B compliance by ensuring distribution pricing integrity. This includes establishing a large distribution network of national/regional wholesalers and specialty distributors, including medical/surgical and vaccine suppliers.
